IN PICTURES: The winners of 72nd Miss Universe Competition

During the same broadcast, it was announced that the 2024 Miss Universe Competition will be held in Mexico.

Following the question-and-answer and final look, the winners of the 72nd Miss Universe Competition were announced during the worldwide telecast of the pageant from El Salvador on Nov. 18 (Nov. 19 Manila time).

Newly crowned Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios is the first Nicaraguan to win Miss Universe. She finished a degree in mass communication and she also played varsity volleyball in school.

Sheynnis, 23, also competed at the Miss World 2021 beauty pageant. But she only placed in the top 40.

During the same broadcast, it was announced that the 2024 Miss Universe Competition will be held in Mexico.
