Bus crash leaves 37 injured in Davao City

By Yas D. Ocampo Davao City â€“ A bus that had faulty brakes rammed into a hardware store, Sunday, injuring 37 persons along the Diversion Road in Buhangin District here. Bus driver Diosdado Sabay said he lost control of the bus when the brakes failed that sent the vehicle crashing into the Davao TLCO Hardware at around 11 a.m. Sabay and his conductor injured while 35 others in the vicinity were also hurt. Police said initial investigation showed that the brakes of the bus may have malfunctioned. The bus was traveling from Tagum City, Davao del Norte to this city. All 37 injured were transported by Central 911 responders to the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) for treatment.
