Meralco announces schedule of brownouts in Luzon

By Carmela Martinez Manila Electric Corporation (Meralco) announced Sunday that several parts of the country will experience brownouts because of scheduled maintenance work from August 5-11. Ana), to Taguig (Signal Village and Upper Bicutan) will be affected. Bulacan, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon, and Rizal will also be affected. On Thursday (August 8) between 9 am and 3 pm, Barangay Plainview in Mandaluyong City will experience power interruption. Meralco identified the following areas as the ones that will be affected by the brownout:
  • Portion of San Rafael St. from Celia St. to and including Lourdes, Sta. Ana and Sta. Lucia Sts.
  • Portion of Dr. Jose Fabella Road from M. Martinez Ave. to Daang Bakal St.
On Wednesday (August 7) at 11:30 pm to Thursday (August 8) at 5:30 am, Soler St. in Binondo, Manila will also experience the interruption. Meralco identified the following areas as the ones that will be affected by the brownout:
  • Portion of Soler St. from Claro M. Recto Ave. to near Roman St. including R & S Tower and Aceada Realty Corp.
On Sunday (August 11) between 8:30 am and 9 am and then between 2 pm and 2:30 pm, Paco and Sta. Ana, Manila will experience the interruption. Meralco identified the following areas as the ones that will be affected by the brownout:
  • Portion of Pres. Quirino Ave. from United Nations Ave. to Peñafrancia St. in Paco.
  • Portion of San Andres and Augusto Francisco Sts. from Pres. Sergio Osmeña Highway to Tejeron St. including Alabastro, Concha, Diamante and Onyx Sts.; Roads 3, 4, 7 and 15; and PLDT Compound in Sta. Ana.
On the same Sunday (August 11) between 8:30 am and 2:30 pm, other portions of Paco will also experience the interruption. Meralco identified the following areas as the ones that will be affected by the brownout:
  • Portion of Peñafrancia St. from Pres. Quirino Ave. to and including Peninsula Garden Midtown Homes; Sto. Sepulcro and San Antonio Sts. in Paco.
On Tuesday (August 6) at 11 pm to Wednesday (August 7) at 4 am, Signal Village in Taguig City will be affected. Meralco identified the following areas as the ones that will be affected by the brownout:
  • Dreamland Subd. along Ma. Rodriguez Tinga Ave.
On Saturday (August 10) between 1 pm and 1:30 pm, Upper Bicutan in Taguig City will experience the interruption. Meralco identified the following areas as the ones that will be affected by the brownout:
  • Portion of Manalili St. from Lapu – Lapu St. to and including Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Compound; Purok 1 – 4; Rica Huerta, Manalo, Legaspi, San Juan, Pisado, Chavez, Bonifacio, Diaz, Reyes, Deano and Villa Sts.
On Friday (August 9) between 12:01 am and 4 pm Batangas City and San Pascual in Batangas will also experience interruption. Meralco identified the following areas as the ones that will be affected by the brownout:
  • Portion of Palico – Balayan – Batangas City Road from Bgy. Santa Rita Karsada, Batangas City to and including Centerplains Subd. in San Pascual town proper, San Pascual.
  • Potion of Caltex Road from Palico – Balayan – Batangas City Road to and including Sarmiento St.; Hinchville Subd. and Perez Compound; and Chevron Philippines Inc. in Bgy. Danglayan, San Pascual; Sta. Rita Relocation Site and FGPC Relocation Site in Bgy. Santa Rita Aplaya, Batangas City.
On Saturday (August 10) between 10 am and 3 pm, Malolos City in Bulacan will experience the interruption. Meralco identified the following areas as the ones that will be affected by the brownout:
  • Along Maunlad Ave. from near A. Mabini St. to and including Maunlad Homes Subd., Menzyland Subd. and Menzyville Subd. in Bgy. Mojon.
On Saturday (August 10) between 10 am and 4 pm, Marilao, Bulacan will also experience the interruption. Meralco identified the following areas as the ones that will be affected by the brownout:
  • Pook Looban 1 and Residencia Regina Subd. in Bgy. Loma De Gato.
On Tuesday (August 6) between 9:30 am and 10 am and then between 3 pm and 3:30 pm, Maragondon, Naic and Ternate in Cavite will experience the interruption. Meralco identified the following areas as the ones that will be affected by the brownout:
  • Portion of Dr. C. Nuñez St. from Bgy. Labac in Naic to and including Bgys. Pinagsanhan 1-A & 1-B in Maragondon; Bgys. Bucana, town proper, San Jose, San Juan I & II and Sapang I & II in Ternate.
On Friday (August 9) between 12:30 am and 1 am and then between 7 am and 7:30am, Tanza in Cavite will also experience the interruption. Meralco identified the following areas as the ones that will be affected by the brownout:
  • Portion of Antero Soriano Highway from Meralco – Tanza substation to and including Villa Juanita, Bgys. Calibuyo and Halayhay.
  • Along Remulla Blvd. from Antero Soriano Highway to and including Wellington Place Subd., Summercrest Subd., Greenville Homes Subd., Springville View Subd. and Glowingfield Village in Bgys. Sahud Ulan and Tres Cruses.
On Sunday (August 11) between 6 am and 7 am and then between 6 pm and 7 pm, Dasmariñas City and General Trias in Cavite will experience the interruption. Meralco identified the following areas as the ones that will be affected by the brownout:
  • Portion of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo Highway from Salitran – Salawag Road to Governor Drive including Don Gregorio Heights Subd., Villa Remedios Subd., Fiesta South Homes Subd., Crescent Hills Village, Southwood Villas, South Plains Executive Village, Via Verde Village, Village Park Subd.; Magsaysay Institute of Shipping and Catimbuhan Rice Mill in Bgys. Burol, Salitran 2, Sampaloc 1, San Agustin 1, 2 and 3 in Dasmariñas City.
  • Along Salitran – Salawag Road from Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo Highway to Molino Road including Southplains Subd., The Orchard Subd., The Orchard Golf & Country Club, Fiesta South Homes, Ivory Crest Subd, Southwood Villas, Sunny Crest Village, Summer Meadow Subd., Summerwind Village, Andreaville Executive Home Subd., Garden Grove I & II Subds., South Meridian Homes and Mango Village in Bgys. Salitran and Salawag in Dasmariñas City.
  • Portion of Gov. D. Mangubat Ave. (Pasong Lawin Road) and South Congressional Road (DBB Highway) from Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo Highway to and including Victoria Reyes Property Subd., Windsor Subd., Acacia Homes, Dexterville Royale Subd., Summerwind IV Subd., Southcrest Village, Southern Luzon College of Business; Bgys. San Francisco I & II, Burol I, II & III, San Andres I & II, Pag-asa, San Nicolas II, Fatima I and Luzviminda II in Dasmariñas City.
  • Portion of Governor Drive and C. M. Delos Reyes Ave. from Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo Highway to near Gen. Trias National Road including Sitio De Fuego, Berlite Industries, Monterey, ADC Ready Mix, Roos Metal Works; Bgys. Pinagtipunan, Tapia, Pasong Kawayan 1 & 2, Buenavista 1, 2 & 3, Manggahan and San Francisco in General Trias.
On Tuesday (August 6) at 11 pm to Wednesday (August 7) at 4 am, Sta. Rosa City in Laguna will experience the interruption. Meralco identified the following areas as the ones that will be affected by the brownout:
  • Portion of Sta. Rosa – Cabuyao National Highway (Manila South Road) from near Petron Gas Station to and including Metrogate Subd., Buena Rosa Subd., Buena Perlas Subd. and Lakeshore Subd.; and United Perlite Corp. in Bgys. Tagapo, Labas and Macabling.
On Tuesday (August 6) between 10 am and 2 pm, Candelaria in Quezon Province will experience the interruption. Meralco identified the following areas as the ones that will be affected by the brownout:
  • Along Ona Street from Maharlika Highway to and including Martinez and De Gala Sts. in Bgy. Poblacion.
  • Portion of Bgy. Masalukot II.
On Thursday (August 8) between 10 am and 3 pm, Sariaya in Quezon Province will also experience the interruption. Meralco identified the following areas as the ones that will be affected by the brownout:
  • Portion of Bgy. Lutucan Bata.
On Thursday (August 6) between 12:01 am and 5 am, Angono, Antipolo City, Binangonan, and Teresa in Rizal province will experience the interruption. Meralco identified the following areas as the ones that will be affected by the brownout:
  • Portion of M. L. Quezon St. and M. L. Quezon Ext. St. from Sitio Tubigan in Bgy. San Roque in Antipolo City to and including Upper Sakura Subd., Yupangco Compound, Zone 1 Purok 3 Neighborhood Association Subd., Zone 2 Purok 8 Neighborhood Association Subd., Sitio Machinery, Grand Valley Subd., Forest Farms Subd., Marwood Executive Village Subd., Country Hills Subd., Maya Country Homes Subd., Pueblo Angono Subd.
