By Andrea Aro  The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has ordered on Wednesday to confiscate and seize the lollipop brand, Dipzy Cornpop, after it was discovered that the lollipop wrapper used is a condom foil packaging. Dipzy Cornpop (FDA / MANILA BULLETIN) In an advisory posted on their official page, FDA warned the public the health risk on consuming the lollipop product by the company MM Lucky Multisales Corporation. “The public is hereby advised not to purchase the aforementioned adulterated products which may pose health risk to consumers,” FDA said in an advisory. “The FDA was notified by the company BARANDA & ASSOCIATES that Durex condom foil packaging is being used as lollipop wrapper by the company MM Marketing reflected on its label,” FDA added. Dipzy Cornpop (FDA / MANILA BULLETIN) The department verified that the “abovementioned food products are not authorized and the Certificates of Product Registration have not been issued.” The Regional Field Offices and the agent of Regulatory Enforcement Units were ordered to confiscate and seize all the abovementioned products. “The FDA is currently investigating this matter and shall order its Regional Field Offices and the agent of Regulatory Enforcement Units for confiscation and seizure of all the above mentioned violative health products that may be found in the aforesaid establishment and other distribution or retail outlets,” FDA said. FDA also warned the concerned establishments not to distribute violative food products until they have been issued “the appropriate authorization, a License to Operate (LTO) for the establishment, and a CPR for the food product.”
