CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga -- Six former members of Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) voluntarily surrendered to the authorities with their firearms on Wednesday, Sept. 21, a police report said.

The Police Regional Office 3 said that ‘Ka Bunso,’ a former New People’s Army cadre, voluntarily surrendered with his caliber .38 pistol to the authorities.
In Bataan, ‘Ka Nene,’ a former political guide of Komiteng Larangang Gerilya (KLG) West operating in Hermosa, Dinalupihan, Bagac, and Morong, also surrendered and turned over his shotgun with three ammunition and one piece of 105mm Projectile.
In Nueva Ecija, ‘Ka Manny,’ a former member of CPP-NPA, voluntarily surrendered to the authorities. His surrender was facilitated by Nampicuan Police and the Philippine National Police. He also surrendered his Caliber .38 revolver (homemade) without ammunition.
Further, joint personnel of Mabalacat police and the Philippine Army facilitated the voluntary withdrawal of support of ‘Ka Karen’ from the NPA where she was an active Kadamay member, Mabalacat Chapter-Communist Front Organization.
Other concerned units facilitated the surrender of ‘Ka Will,’ former CTG member who also turned over his Caliber .45 pistol, five ammunition, and two rifle grenades and high explosives.
‘Ka Aida,’ former CTG member and Red Fighter, turned over a homemade shotgun without a serial number with three rounds of ammunition.
Police Regional Office 3 director PBGEN. Cesar Pasiwen is expecting the surrender of more CTG members as well as the withdrawal of support of their sympathizers and supporters.
