Beach resort caretaker shot dead in Ilocos Sur

By Erwin Beleo  CAMP OSCAR FLORENDO, La Union – A 57-year old caretaker was shot dead at the beach resort where he was working in coastal barangay of Ambucao, Santiago, Ilocos Sur police reported to this camp Wednesday, January 22. According to P/Lt. Rodel Ragasa, police chief Santiago municipal station, reported that the victim was Eduardo Sabado, Alias Ciano, worker and caretaker of Magic 5 Resort. He was reportedly shot by a still undetermined number of suspects in the forehead and chest, and died on-the-spot. Initial investigation disclosed that the victim was cleaning at the resort Tuesday morning when armed suspects arrived and shot him. It was learned that the victim was a drug surrenderer of Santiago PNP, according to report. A flash alarm was immediately sent out regarding the incident.
