Sotto expresses sadness over the passing of Susan Roces

Senate President Vicente Sotto III said he, his wife Helen, and members of his family condole with the family of movie actress Susan Roces, who passed away Friday night.

Sotto said Helen is close to Susan and was sad to know that Susan was at a hospital intensive care unit (ICU).

‘’We are very sad not only our family but the movie industry,’’ added Sotto, who is himself a showbiz personality.

In a related development, Senator-elect Raffy Tulfo said he and his entire family expressed their sincerest condolences on the passing of Senator Grace Poe’s adoptive mother Roces, who is beloved by all.

‘’Few celebrity icons are as loved as Ms. Susan Roces,’’ Tulfo said.

‘’We ask President Duterte to declare a national day of mourning on the day of her burial,’’ he added.

He said his wife, ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Jocelyn Tulfo, would file a House Resolution next week extolling Ms. Susan Roces's legacy and recommending her nomination for posthumous National Artist honors.

‘’Again, our sympathies to all who loved and adored Ms. Susan Roces,’’ he added.
