Stranded in Valenzuela? Secure permit from LGU before leaving the city
By Joseph Almer Pedrajas
The local government of Valenzuela City has issued a guideline for locally stranded individuals (LSI) planning to leave the city.

LSIs, according to Mayor Rex Gatchalian, are workers, students, tourists, and other individuals who, unable to return home, were left stranded in their last destination prior to lockdown.
Gatchalian on Tuesday said that LSIs in his city should first coordinate with the local government through barangay officials to secure travel authority.
To be able to leave the city, Gatchalian noted that the stranded individuals should have: 1. Barangay Certificate to prove that they are stranded and 2. Medical Certificate from the nearest health station to prove that they are fit to travel.
The soft copy of the said documents, as well as a valid ID, should be sent to Valenzuela's e-mail address [email protected].
Stranded individuals must also include their contact details, location where they are stranded, place of destination, date of departure, and details of their driver and their service vehicle, which include mode of transportation, car's model, color, and plate number.
"The local government of Valenzuela will send the Travel Authority to stranded individuals within two to three days so they do not have to go to the city hall," a city advisory read.
For other details, LSIs should reach out to the city through the hotline: 8352-1000 loc. 2976 or via e-mail [email protected].
