P308, 040 worth of shabu seized in Pasay buy-bust

By Jean Fernando A total of P308,040 worth of shabu were confiscated by the Pasay City police with the arrest of six persons which were all listed in the drug watchilist during a series of buy-bust operation they conducted from Monday night to early morning of Tuesday. Colonel Bernard Yang, the city police chief, identified the arrested suspects as Bartolome Sapnit, 56, of 2271 TRamo St., Barangay 100; Ramil Paman,51 and Rosalinda, Bangian, 44 both resident of 146 Humilidad St., Barangay;Maria Margarita Nicholson,41, of Sitio Wella, Pag-Asa II, Barangay 201; Mark Anthony Arellano,36, of Venus St., Barangay Kaingin Moonwalk, Paranaque City and Yasser Morales,28, of 36 Sitio Wella, Pag-asa II, Barangay 201. According to Yang, in the first incident, Sapnit was arrested in possession of about 5.5 grams of shabu amounting to P37,400 at about 6:40 p.m. last Monday during buy-bust operation. Yang said that second they arrested during their conduct of series of buy-bust operation were Paman and Rosalinda who were both in possession of 6.5 grams of shabu amounting to P44,200 at about 12:15 a.m. The city police chief said that in the third buy-bust operation, Nicholson who was the subject of buy-bust operation was arrested together with Arellano in possession of 21.7 grams of shabu amounting to P147,560 at  about 2:15 a.m. Yang said that follow-up operation made by members of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit Morales was arrested at about 4:00 a.m. in possession of 11.6 grams of shabu placed inside black socks amounting to P78,800. Report showed that Morales was able to run after the arrest was made against Nicholson and Arellano bringing with him the 11.6 grams of shabu. Aside from the shabu confiscated from Morales, the police also recovered one unit of Kymco motorcycle with plate number XS5645.
