Award-winning actor Elijah Canlas is taking his career to new heights as he brings his A-game to Cornerstone Entertainment! “Cornerstone Entertainment is a prestigious company. It’s an honor to be part of this family. Papasok ako ng bagong chapter in my career…in my very, very young career. I’m not sure what’s gonna happen but I’m sure it will all go up,” said Elijah, when asked about his expectations after joining Cornerstone's roster of talents, during a media conference in Quezon City last Feb. 28. Erickson Raymundo, President and CEO of Cornerstone Entertainment, and Jeff Vadillo, VP, Cornerstone Entertainment, welcomed Elijah to the popular multimedia entertainment agency, at the same mediacon. Elijah, 22, also said that he’s looking forward to a showbiz collaboration with sweetheart actress Miles Ocampo also under Cornerstone Entertainment.
Asked if he inspires Miles to be a better actress, Elijah said: “I don’t want to take any of that credit because she’s an amazing artist herself. I’m just happy to be part of her journey.”
Elijah said that he and Miles help each other in their career by sharing ideas about their roles and projects. The celebrity couple confirmed their relationship on May 28, 2022, although it was learned they have been partners since 2021.
“Nagkaroon na kasi siguro siya ng kabatuhan sa dialogue ng mga projects niya. Lahat ng mga projects na ginagawa namin, we read it together. Kapag may mga idea kami sa isa’t isa, we discuss about it,” the young actor said, adding that he’s very proud of Miles these days. “Finally her talent is being recognized and I couldn’t be more proud of her.”
Elijah said that he would love to collaborate with other artists of Cornerstone Entertainment. When asked about the three actors he idolizes in the industry, he identified them as the late veteran actor Eddie Garcia, Aga Muhlach and Ronnie Lazaro.
Despite winning prestigious awards at a very young age, Elijah believes he still has a lot learn as an actor.
“Hindi po talaga kasi ganun ang tingin sa sarili ko. I believe I still have a lot to learn. But I’m grateful for all the directors who trusted me and gave me good projects. Ako po talaga ang type of actor na iniingatan ko ang filmography ko. I’m just blessed to be working with the best of the best,” he added.

Elijah is also excited about taking his musical talent to Cornerstone Entertainment. “Some of my songs were supposed to be released last year but they were delayed because people might be confused about my acting career. Now we’re ready to release some of my songs. I write and produce my own music. It’s really different and fresh. I explore pop and R&B. But I’m also a big fan of rap music. Iba't ibang genre siya,” he also said. In movies, Elijah is best known for his award-winning performances in Jun Lana’s “Kalel 15” (which earned him the best actor award from the Asian Film Festival Rome, Harlem International Film Festival, FAMAS, and Gawad Urian) and Jason Paul Laxamana’s “He Who Is Without Sin” (which earned him the best actor nomination from FAMAS and Pista Ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP) and the Special Jury Prize for Performance in a Lead Role, also from the PPP).
