Motorcycle taxi firm JoyRide Vice President for Operations Noli Eala said on Thursday their priority is to send out well-trained drivers and to ensure the safety of passengers.

“We are appealing that this should not be a matter of numbers, this should be matter of really insuring the riding public is safe.” Eala said in an interview with CNN Philippines,
“Making sure the people, the riders that we’ll be sending out in the streets are trained, properly trained and safe… the advocacy that we have really (is) to remove chaos in the streets and part of the chaos begins with the mindset of the driver.
“We continue of course to make sure that the riders that we send out really are able to comply with the guidelines.”
Joy Ride is one of the players added to the motorcycle taxi pilot test run on Dec. 23 last year.
