Campaign posters, banners cover school buildings in Taytay and Cainta

A public elementary school in Taytay, Rizal has been "wall papered" as its façade was covered with various campaign materials rendering it almost unrecognizable.

Banners and posters of local candidates hang like buntings in the vicinity of school buildings designated as polling centers in Taytay and Cainta.

Early birds, included some senior citizens, told the Manila Bulletin that they opted to go early to their polling precincts in order to locate their names and designated voting places in Cainta.

Election officer Atty. Joseph Vega said there are more than 161,000 registered voters in Cainta, Rizal.

Lakas ng Masa presidential candidate, Leodegario "Ka Leody" De Guzman and his family members cast their vote in Cainta Central Elementary School around 8 a.m.

The Cainta Police, led by Lt. Col. Orlando Carag, told the Manila Bulletin that the first few hours of the voting in Cainta were normal.

Rizal Police Provincial Office director Col. Dominic Baccay had earlier instructed policemen to strictly perform their duties in securing the vicinity of polling places in the entire province.
