Salary loan applications via SSS Mobile App re-enabled

State-run Social Security System (SSS) has re-enabled its salary loan application with mandatory bank disbursement through the SSS Mobile App after its latest version was released last week.

According to the SSS, the new version of its app also made available again the downloading of PDF file of Payment Reference Numbers (PRN) after generation and has added a new feature allowing members to download the Disclosure Statements of their Salary Loans file.

Other services that may be accessed through the SSS Mobile App include the viewing of member’s information, contribution breakdown, benefit claims info, documentary requirements in filing benefit claims, and list of documentary requirements for membership.

Users can also found in the app thee SSS branch office with location map, loan status and balance, updating of contact information, submission of maternity notification, registration to My.SSS (SSS Website), generation of PRN, as well as online payment option.

The pension fund said members will no longer have to re-install the app to access the new version as it will automatically be downloaded to their existing SSS Mobile App.

However, in case the new version failed to be installed automatically, members may update it through the App Store, Play Store, and Huawei App Gallery.

The SSS Mobile App is a free downloadable app for smartphone users launched in 2018 to provide a more convenient way for members to transact with the agency without the hassle of queuing in its branches.

In time with its 63rd founding anniversary on September 1, the SSS launched its ExpreSSS online service facility that aims to provide a simple, faster, and convenient means for members and employers to transact with the pension fund.
