Filipino comic book 'Trese' to be Netflix anime series

By MB Online Award-winning and bestselling Filipino comic book series "Trese" is going to be a Netflix Original Anime Series.

Netflix's International Originals Anime Director Taito Okiura announced the news at the Netflix: See What’s Next Asia 2018 event in Singapore on November 8. "Trese" is set in a Manila where the mythical creatures of Philippine folklore live in hiding among humans. Alexandra Trese finds herself going head to head with a criminal underworld comprised of malevolent supernatural beings. Created by writer Budjette Tan and artist Kajo Baldisimo, the ‘Trese’ executive producer is Jay Oliva (Wonder Woman, The Legend of Korra).
