Unified Hiligaynon newscast

After the launch of Mindanao-wide local newscast One Mindanao last year, GMA Network through its regional arm GMA Regional TV pioneers Hiligaynon news program a “One Western Visayas.”

Sedfrey Cabaluna and Kaitlene Rivilla Airing weekdays at 5 p.m. beginning today, the 30-minute newscast will be produced in GMA TV-6 Iloilo with simultaneous broadcast on GMA TV-6 Guimaras and via satellite on GMA TV-13 Bacolod, TV-10 Sipalay, TV-5 Roxas, TV-2 Kalibo, and TV-7 Tablas. “One Western Visayas” will deliver comprehensive and in-depth delivery of news and information in Western Visayas – all tailored fit to the needs and demands of the local TV audience. The Kapuso newscast is anchored by Atty. Sedfrey Cabaluna. He will be joined by Bacolod co-anchor and correspondent Adrian Prietos, and Iloilo co-anchor Kaitlene Rivilla. Completing the team is the network of stringers across Western Visayas. “GMA Regional TV remains firm on its belief that access to local news on free TV is a great equalizer. Local news plays an important role. While national reports on a wider scope, it is the local stories that directly affect families and immediate communities,” said GMA Regional TV Vice President and Head Oliver Amoroso.
