Bulacan police rounds up 157 quarantine violators; 48 illegal gamblers

In spite of the repeated reminders of Governor Daniel R. Fernando and Vice Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado through their official Facebook pages to follow the guidelines of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the Bulacan police still apprehended 157 individuals for quarantine violations on Good Friday and early morning on Black Saturday, April 3, 2021.

Fernando cited the report of Colonel Lawrence B. Cajipe, Bulacan police director, who said that three were arrested for liquor ban, 108 for curfew, and 46 for health protocol violation.

Fernando said aside from the 157 individuals gathered by the authorities, the operatives of Angat, Marilao, Obando, Meycauayan, San Rafael, San Jose Del Monte, and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (2nd PMFC) have also arrested 48 illegal gamblers.

Police identified the arrested illegal gamblers as Warlito Caraballo and Joel Vitangcol, both of Brgy. Caingin, San Rafael; Rhandie Espiritu, of Tambubong, San Rafael; Reggie Patola, Eric Valmadrid and Eugene Valmadrid, all of Lico, San Rafael, Bulacan; Richard Babas, Marlon Gastalla, and Dominador Agara, all of Marungko, Angat; Edward Recto, of San Roque, Angat; Zaldy Doroguez;  Jonathan Abrematea, Arthur Dilla, Amado Cabusas, Benjie Noquera, Khristian Patingan, Savero Doroguez, Ricardo Ramos, Art Saragina, Joseph Bandavia, Alexander Lopez; Rogelio Arsena, Rudy Servo, Jerry Quisay; Danilo Bainio Jr; Estilito Saldino, Antonio Cavitana, and Roberto Estolas, all of Lambakin, Marilao.

Other arrested were Marlon Catalan of Pajo, Meycauayan; Ernie Boy Rollorota, and Verlino Besnar, both from Bahay Pare, Meycauayan; Roberto Nazal, Norlito Llaneta, Federico Britanico, Ramon Sidonio, Joseph Boston, Daryl Banares, and Emil Marquez, all of Binuangan, Obando; Lester Austria, of Hulo, Obando and Victorino Alejo of Balang Kare Sur, Gen. Natividad, Nueva Ecija. 

The said persons were all arrested for engaging in illegal cockfighting (Tupada) activities. Recovered were fighting cocks, gaffs, and bet money with a total amount of P15,780.

While suspects Richard Zoilo; Ardie Itchon; Rigor Genilla; Dionicio Serrano; Romulo Pableo; Rey Codino; Rey Genilla and Jerome Buiza,  all of Brgy. Muzon, City of San Jose Del Monte were all arrested for playing billiard/poker. Confiscated were billiard cue sticks, billiard balls, deck of playing cards, and cash money amounting to P1,600.
