Engaged in the assembly and distribution of Hino trucks, buses, and spare parts, Hino Motors Philippines (HMP) has evolved into a company that responds to the specific requirements of the commercial vehicle transport sector.
As the government continues to push the automotive and transport industry to shift to the Euro 4 fuel emission standard, Hino heeds the call for innovative transport solutions by kicking off 2018 with a line of trucks and buses running on new Euro 4 engines. This new lineup of vehicles promises increased engine durability, improved cost efficiency and a smaller carbon footprint.

The Euro 4-compliant fleet includes refrigerated vans, cargo cranes, dump trucks, cab and chassis trucks, tractor heads, wing vans, Cerito buses, Grandeza buses and a modern Hino jeepney, the Hino Jeepney Class 3 AC. The modern jeepney is a prototype for the government’s public utility vehicle (PUV) modernization program. Designed like a mini bus, the Hino jeepney has a 23-person seating capacity.
HMP Chairman, Vicente T. Mills, Jr. emphasized Hino’s commitment not only to their customers, but to the growing needs of the industry.
“We are very excited to share our latest vehicles with our valued partners. As a reliable one-stop shop, we are equipped to provide 360-degree support to all our clients’ trucking requirements—from assembly to chassis, body and, more importantly, aftersales and maintenance,” said Mills.

“The boom in infrastructure construction increases opportunities for transport businesses and truck and bus requirements over the next couple of years. The rise in domestic travel activities will also provide more impetus to the bus industry. Any increase in the movement of people will require the services of modern buses. Further, fleet replacement in compliance with Euro 4 and such requirements will translate into more sales,” Mills explained.
HMP President, Hiroshi Aoki added the importance of finding efficient solutions to environmental concerns. “Hino is honored to have been given the opportunity to incorporate this ecological innovation to the Hino quality of trucks and buses. As we affirm our commitment to supporting the community, we will continue to leverage our ability to assemble and distribute quality trucks and buses designed to address the different needs of Filipinos in the most efficient way possible,” Aoki said.
With commuters and motorists plying Metro Manila roads daily, the constant threat of air pollution is a very real occurrence. Thankfully, manufacturers for private and commercial vehicles are taking the right steps towards a cleaner, greener, future.
