SM Cinema Mall of Asia upgrades facilities to redefine movie experience

Unveiling twelve (12) upgraded regular cinemas, one (1) IMAX theatre, three (3) Director’s Club theatres, two (2) large-screen format cinemas, and one (1) event cinema, the SM Cinema Mall of Asia seeks to give moviegoers a superb viewing experience as it opens its doors to the public on January 22. With the reopening of the theatres, the Mall of Asia becomes the SM mall with the biggest cinema hub, offering families and friends more ways to enjoy the latest movies through state-of-the-art technology complemented by modern architectural design. The 12 redeveloped regular theatres boast of premium, upgraded features—from the most comfortable spectator seats and interior design, to Dolby 7.1 Digital Surround Sound setup and RGB Laser Projection System—giving viewers a much-elevated and immersive silver screen experience. On the other hand, the 3 Director’s Club cinemas will each house full-recliner leather seats, equipped with a large advanced laser projection system and contemporary Dolby Digital Surround Sound setup. Moviegoers also have the luxury of an in-theater butler service, allowing them to have a focused and in-depth movie viewing experience. As a pioneer in the local theatre industry, SM Cinema has revolutionized movie watching by introducing the first movie theater inside a shopping center, almost three decades ago.
