American drag queen Chi Chi DeVayne, who rose to fame on RuPaul’s "Drag Race, " has passed away at the age of 34.

An official message from Chi Chi’s family was posted on the drag queen’s Instagram Friday.

“On behalf of the Davenport/Wyandon family, it is with tremendous sorrow that my family and I announce the passing of my beloved son, Zavion Davenport, the world-renowned “Chi Chi Devayne’,” the statement read.

“His final words to his family and fans, ‘Never give up!’”

Just days ago, Chi Chi revealed on social media that she was back in the hospital battling pneumonia.

"Keep me in your prayers, I’ll be back soon,” she said.

The drag queen also has been battling with scleroderma, a rare disease that affects a person's skin and connective tissues.

RuPaul has expressed condolences to Chi Chi’s family and paid tribute to the Southern queen.

"I am heartbroken to learn of the passing of Chi Chi DeVayne. I am so grateful that we got to experience her kind and beautiful soul.
She will be dearly missed but never forgotten. May her generous and loving spirit shine down on us all,” RuPaul said in a statement.

"Drag Race" stars including Bebe Zahara Benet, Bianca del Rio, Aquaria, Trixie Mattel, Shangela, Latrice Royale, Ivy Oddly, Brooklyn Hytes, have also mourned the passing of Chi Chi.

“Chi Chi. My heart is breaking. You were such a light, a rare talent, a kind and generous spirit and a force of nature on the stage. Rest well, sister,” Bebe, Drag Race Season 1 winner, wrote on Twitter.

Aquaria, for her part, wrote: “Chi Chi was truly one of the most supportive queens. Please keep her family and friends in your thoughts, and try to work towards being the symbol of kindness that she exemplified for so many. We all love you and will miss you.”

Chi Chi appeared on "Drag Race" 8th season where she finished fourth, and "Drag Race: All Stars Season 3."
