Jolina injured in QC road crash

By Vanne Terrazola Actress Jolina Magdangal was injured when her vehicle was struck by a van in Quezon City early Monday morning. Senior Police Officer 2 Achilles Magat of the QCPD Traffic Sector 3 said Magdangal was rushed to St. Luke's Medical Center along E. Rodriguez after sustaining minor injuries following the road crash along East Avenue in Barangay Central at around 1:30 a.m. Magdangal and her vocalist husband Mark Escueta were being driven to the airport by their driver Orly Sebolino. After stopping at the intersection, the commuter van, driven by Peter Sevilla, 27, rammed the rear of the celebrity couple’s sports utility vehicle. Sevilla, who was pinned to the driver’s seat, was later brought to East Avenue Medical Center. Magat said Sevilla, a church worker, took full responsibility for the mishap, and claimed that he momentarily dozed off behind the wheel after driving from Batangas. Magdangal was released from the hospital and is now resting in her house in Quezon City. He told the Manila Bulletin that he has yet to find out if the couple will press charges against Sevilla.
