Dennis Trillo laughed and could've just melted where he stood when we broke the ice by asking, "Are you a vampire?"

At 36, the actor has the same physique as when he started more than a decade ago.
"Kailangan mo lang alagaan 'yung sarili mo," he encouraged.
Among his rules is confounding vices like smoking and drinking alcohol regularly. During down time, it's not always exercise but sleep, too. Naturally, he eats what's right for his body.
"Basta maingat lang ako sa nilalagay ko sa katawan ko," he said.
He visits the gym twice or thrice a week, often tagging along with girlfriend Jennylyn Mercado whose physique could make Amazonian cry.
"Maganda kasi 'yung may kasabay ka para hindi nakakatamad," he said.

Speaking of Jennylyn, the actor was asked if wedding bells would finally ding-dong for them this year.
"Wala pa po," he answered. "Malalaman niyo rin naman 'yun kapag mangyayari na."
He said they don't even talk about it as they're focusing more on work and business ventures.
Should they work together again, Dennis wants the project to be of horror genre. The last time he did one was back in 2014, the episode "Ulam" in the final installment of the movie anthology "Shake, Rattle & Roll XV."
Dennis' next movie is of the crime and drama kind. He said they are already in the process of pre-production. It's a dream project, he hinted.
"Kasi 'yung grupo na 'yun matagal ko ng gustong makatrabaho. Siyempre nabilib din ako sa quality ng mga proyekto na ginagawa nila," he said. "Aside from that eh 'yung role tsaka 'yung kwento matagal na akong nag-aantay ng ganu'n na dumating sa akin."

Meanwhile, Dennis is in the cast of romantic-comedy TVseries "The One That Got Away." He plays William Dominic "Liam" Ilustre, the ideal boyfriend-handsome, smart, loving, and a true gentleman
"Si Liam siya 'yung ina-aspire ng bawat babae, siya 'yung ideal na lalaki – edukado, maayos 'yung itsura, mayaman, wala ka ng hahanapin pa kasi almost perfect siya,: he said. "Pero ako, hindi ako ganu'n. Gusto kong maging ganu'n pero hindi naman tayo perfect."
His three leading ladies are Rhian Ramos, Max Collins and Lovi Poe.
They play Zoe, Darcy and Alex, respectively, who have the same denominator – ex-girlfriend of Liam.
Dennis noted each of the girls' character is different.
He finds Zoe "wild" and "adventurous."
"Siya 'yung tipo na party girl, masarap kainuman, ka-party. Siguro ang nagustuhan ni Liam sa kanya 'yung pagiging carefree niya. 'Yun 'yung naging edge niya sa ibang tao," he said.
As for Darcy, the actor noted, "siya naman 'yung parang mataray 'yung itsura niya, strong 'yung personality pero kindhearted din siya, mabait na tao. Medyo iba 'yung approach niya sa relationship siguro kasi ganu'n siya pinalaki kaya naging strong siya, kaya parang may pagka-boyish siya. Pero ibang klase 'yung lambing niya kumpara sa iba."
As for Alex, she is "babaeng bakla" into gay lingo.
"Medyo bungisngis, masiyahin at mahalaga rin sa kanya 'yung pamilya niya kaya 'yun 'yung isa sa mga nagustuhan ni Liam sa kanya. Tsaka iba kasi 'yung charm niya."

"Para sa akin hindi nakukuha ng material na bagay, hindi nakukuha ng award, hindi sa estado ng buhay kung 'di siguro para sa akin ay 'yung pinagdaanan kong lahat para makarating kung nasaan man ako, 'yung walang shortcut."
Aside from the experiences he acquired, he also considers being a good father an attainment. Dennis has a son name Calix Andreas with former girlfriend, actress Carlene Aguilar.
What kind of Dad is he, we asked.
"Hindi ako ganu'ng ka-strict pero kinakausap ko siya na hindi parang bata 'yung kausap ko dapat parang isang matured na tao 'yung kausap ko para mas ma-explain ko sa kanya. Maaga pa lang naiintindihan na niya na hindi siya bini-baby," he said.
