Paolo Contis on why he fell in love with Yen Santos

Paolo Contis divulged how and why he fell in love with Yen Santos in an interview. He told Nelson Canlas, "Sobrang simpleng bagay lang. When the whole thing started, the whole crucifixion started, there was a time or there was every opportunity, she had every opportunity... to leave, but she stayed." Note that both Paolo and Yen were vilified by many after being sighted together numerous times following the actor's split from LJ Reyes, the mother of his daughter.
Paolo continued, "Ako, sa totoo lang, ang laki-laking bagay (nun para sa akin). Kasi noong mga time na yon, pinag-uusapan naman namin na mahirap, yes. Nagkaroon pa nga ng times nag-ano siya sa social media... hiatus. Pero she did everything she can to not get affected, as long as nakakapag-usap kami and okay kami." "Hindi mo ba mamahalin yon?," he told Nelson. "During the time some of my friends, some of the people who actually believed in me, were leaving, someone stayed." Is it worth all the pain and suffering? "Yeah. Kumbaga, noong lahat palayo, siya (naman) papalapit." In terms of him settling down, Paolo jested: "Alam mo maraming nagsasabi sa akin (na) hindi!" But turning serious, he admitted, "Of course I do. I want that day to come. But before that happens, I want to fix everything—in all aspects of my life... Sa mga nakaaway ko, sa mga anak ko. Kapag lahat yon hindi maayos, tingin ko never akong magiging buo... enough para maging maayos na asawa."
His wish is to be in good terms with the different women he sired children with and left. "Hindi ito mga ex na wala lang. Yung mga taong may kinalaman sa akin, feeling ko kailangang maayos before I actually move forward, sa totoo lang, sa edad ko, hindi na yon puwedeng pabayaan at this time regardless kung anong mangyari, it has to be fixed for me to become a whole person," he related. "Feeling ko, only that time ako magiging fully ready (na magpakasal)." Note that apart from his daughter with LJ, Paolo also has two daughters with former EB Babes dancer Lian Paz.
