Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Saturday seized some P1.3 million worth of shabu from a suspect in a buy-bust operation in Quiapo, Manila.

PDEA National Capital Region (NCR) Director Joel Plaza identified the suspect as Saiben Alamada, 20, tricycle driver, and a resident of Globo De Oro Street, Barangay 384 Zone 39.
The suspect was nabbed at around 2:30 pm after transacting with an undercover PDEA agent.
PDEA agents confiscated two pieces of knot-tied transparent plastic bag containing the contraband weighing 200 kilograms, a cell phone, and a P1,000-bill placed on top of a fold of fake peso bills that were used as marked money.
Alamada is now facing charges for violation of section 5 of article II of Republic Act 9165 also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
On the same day, PDEA NCR operatives arrested two mechanics, and seized 25 grams of shabu worth P170,000 in another buy-bust operation in Pasig City.
Plaza said the suspects Ryan Caiton and Julius Villanueva were collared at around 5 p.m.at the Total Gas Station in Barangay Pinagbuhatan where they transacted with undercover PDEA personnel.
Also seized from them were a cellular phone, a sedan, a weighing scale, a black pouch, the marked money and a motorcycle.
