The cops were cited by Alfamart Convenience Store Chain at the Provincial Police Headquarters, Camp General Alejo Santos in City of Malolos on Monday, Nov. 7.
Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, said the Bulacan police deserved recognition for their prompt response to the said incidents that occurred in the branches of the convenience store in Baliwag and Paombong in June and October this year, respectively.
Lt. Col. Julius C. Alvaro, Baliwag town police chief, and Lt. Col. Rufino D. Victoria Jr., the chief of police in Paombong were among the 19 police officers who were recognized.
The Bulacan Police periodically collaborates with bank and convenience store managers and security guards, as well as local government unit and Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) officials.
The collaboration aims to devise strategies against organized criminal organizations that assault convenience shops and other establishments and to ensure the security of other vital installations.
