635 Caloocan jobseekers hired in 2 Mega Job Fairs
A total of 635 jobseekers in Caloocan CIty were hired on-the-spot in two Mega Job Fairs held in the city in February, the local government announced on Thursday, March 2.
The two job fairs, held at the Caloocan Sport Complex on Feb. 23, and at the Caloocan City Hall- South of Feb. 28, were part of Caloocan’s 61st Cityhood Anniversary celebration.
Around 1,686 jobseekers registered to apply for jobs during the events, the city government said.
“Mga Batang Kankaloo, tulad po ng lagi kong sinasabi, sa Caloocan, walang maiiwan, kaya naman libo-libong trabaho po ang maari niyong pagpilian mula sa ating job vacancies (Bantang Kankaloo, like what I always say, no one will be left behind here in Caloocan. That's why you can choose from thousands of our job vacancies)” Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan said.
He also encouraged the city residents to take advantage of the opportunities opened to through the job fairs, regular recruitment activities, livelihood training and other related recovery programs for continuous resiliency and progress.
Meanwhile, Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Officer-in-Charge Ms. Violeta Gonzales said that they are continuously coordinating with various companies to offer more job opportunities to the Caloocan residents.
“Sa pagsasagawa ng ating mega job fair ngayong Pebrero, meron tayong 48 partners na binubuo ng direct companies, pati na rin ng local at overseas recruitment agencies (In conducting our mega job fair this February, we have 48 partners consisting of direct companies, as well as local and overseas recruitment agencies),” Ms. Violeta Gonzales stated.
Malapitan expressed his gratitude to PESO, its partner agencies, and private companies for bringing jobs and opportunities to the city residents
