Tippy Dos Santos' mom dies following car accident in South Korea

Tragedy struck the family of stage actress-singer Tippy Dos Santos after her mother Happy Esquivias Dos Santos died due to a car accident in Seoul, South Korea. She was 58.

Happy's demise was confirmed by her family in a post on social media Dec. 30. Her daughter Tippy has not issued a statement on the death of her mom. However, she already updated her profile on Facebook with a photo of her and her mom.

Earlier, Happy's family asked for prayers for her recovery after she and her husband John figured in a horrific vehicular accident upon arrival in Seoul for a vacation last Dec. 27.

"While John is currently recovering from his injuries, Happy is now in a coma and fighting for her life. She is at the ICU of a Korean hospital," read the statement. Unfortunately, Happy passed on.

The full announcement:

"Dear family and friends, on December 30th 2023, our beloved Happy passed away after suffering injuries from a traffic accident in Seoul, Korea. She fought for her life, but in the end, the Lord decided to bring our beloved Happy home.

"The hurt of this loss to our family is indescribable and we will miss her every single day. As her husband, the light of my life and the light of my world was extinguished. As for my daughters, they have lost the most caring and loving mother any child could ask for.

 

 

"Happy was bright and full of energy, she knew how to light up every room she was in. Happy was caring and generous, she would provide you with any assistance you needed from her -- no questions asked. Happy was so loving and she devoted much of her energy to making sure people she loved knew and felt her love.

"We will never forget the love and happiness that she brought into our lives, and we know that she has touched many others the same way. Please continue to keep all the wonderful memories she shared with each one of you in your hearts.

"We love you forever dearest bride, mama, and Loli Haps.

"May the Lord take your hand and lead you into eternity. Until we see you again.

"Happy Esquivias Dos Santos - January 5, 1965 - December 30, 2023."
