Located at SM City North EDSA, the store features many of the brand’s signature products and special collaboration lines
While we are now shedding our comfy clothes as we brave our new world and put the horrors of the pandemic behind us, what remain in our closets are key pieces that merge style with function. These are dependable items that look good while we are walking on the streets and grinding at the gym. In the coming year, athleisure will continue to dominate fashion with the coming of the sports luxe trend—something that is relaxed and casual but elevated.

Sports luxe is a mix of high-low aesthetics. Think of a bomber jacket paired with a column cocktail dress, a sports bra under a blazer, or designer sneakers styled with a good suit, it has the best of both fashion worlds. If you’re planning to explore sports luxe style this time, you’re in luck as the German sportswear manufacturer Puma opens its biggest store in the Philippines.
Located at SM City North EDSA, Puma’s 350-sqm. store aims to redefine the physical shopping experience with its curated pieces mixing both its signature products and special collaboration collections. The store also mirrors the brand’s sleek and contemporary style with its high ceiling bearing its logo and its grand screen projecting the brand’s latest campaigns. This is its first store within the SM Mall group.

“When shoppers come in, we want them to feel like they’re entering a space that is energetic and full of good vibes,” Paolo Misa, Puma Philippines country manager, says. “We are pleased to partner with Sports Central for its first Puma store. We are excited to share that there will be many more to come.”
“Sports Central welcomes Puma to our roster of global sports brands,” Philip Go, president of Sports Central Inc., adds. “ are excited to serve and provide access to this iconic brand in the northern Metro Manila.”
Showcased in the store is its full assortment of products from football, running and training, basketball, motorsports, and sportstyle. Among its highlighted offerings are its exclusive collaboration lines such as LaMelo Ball’s MB.02 collection, Puma x Coca-Cola, and Puma x Pokemon.

“It has been something we’ve been doing for many years,” Jerome Rouch, Puma Southeast Asia director for retail and e-commerce, says. “We always come up with special collaborations with brands, designers, and artists. I think this is something that consumers are keen on having and discovering… has always been part of our DNA.”
“We want Filipinos to discover everything Puma has to offer,” Jerome adds. “We are bringing the best and the latest Puma has to offer in the Philippines.”
