Public Works Secretary Mark Villar announced that the City of San Juan will soon have more court rooms with the ongoing construction of a four-story Hall of Justice.
The P100-million building project is now 75 percent completed, according to DPWH-Metro Manila First District Engineer Medel Chua.
The new Hall of Justice building is located along Pinaglabanan Road in Barangay Corazon de Jesus, San Juan City.
“We’re building eight new court rooms to answer the lack of court rooms handling litigation cases in San Juan City,” Villar said.
He further said that the 6,000-square meter Justice Hall will house air-conditioned court rooms with corresponding office staff rooms and judge chamber rooms, parole and probation rooms, sheriff’s office, clerk of court office, office spaces, and roof deck with open area.
It will also be equipped with security cameras and an elevator unit. Open spaces for parking areas and storm drainage facilities are also included in the project.
According to Chua, they recently completed the first two phases of the project amounting to P70 million. They are now implementing the fourth and fifth phases of the project.
“We are fast tracking the completion of this project so that San Juan City’s judges and court employees may soon transfer here,” the secretary said.
