New social workers to wear Filipiniana or Barong Tagalog during online oathtaking

New passers of the Social Workers Licensure Examination need to wear Filipiniana or Barong Tagalog during their online oathtaking this month.

In a Facebook post, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said "inductees shall wear Filipiniana or Barong Tagalog and use a white backdrop (white physical or virtual background) throughout the oathtaking ceremony."

The Commission said the conduct of online oathtaking will be on March 26, 2021, Friday, 10 a.m.

It added that the online oathtaking will be spearheaded by PRC Davao and PRC General Santos through Microsoft Teams.

PRC asked inductees to secure an online appointment schedule at http://online.prc.gov.ph until March 24, 2021 and select “e-OATH” as transaction.

"Inductees are required to print 'Oath of Professional' form that is downloadable at the PRC Online Services," it said.

The step-by-step procedure of online oathtaking application system, PRC said, may be viewed at https://www.prc.gov.ph/article/online-oathtaking-application-system/4532.

The Commission said the specific registration and ceremony protocols are also in the PRC website.
