Martin's father, Bert Nievera, dies at the age of 81

By Katherine Marajas Las Vegas-based balladeer Bert Nievera, father of singer Martin Nievera, dies at the age of 81 due to organ failure. Martin Nievera confirmed on Tuesday. Martin posted a photo of him and his father with the caption "I can't believe you're gone. Life will never be the same again," with the hashtag #RobertInParadise.

Martin's son, Robin Nievera, also posted a photo of him with his grandfather. "To the one that started it all. The one the keeps singing even though he "forgot the stupid words." Thank you for the memories, Lolo. I love you and I will miss you," he wrote.
