Bato, Go top senatorial polls in Davao City

By Jeffrey Damicog Neophyte senatorial candidates Christopher “Bong” Go and former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Ronaldo “Bato” Dela Rosa led Senate candidates in their hometown in Davao City.

(MANILA BULLETIN) Based on the certificates of canvass received by the Natioanal Board of Canvass (NBOC), Go, who is the former aide of President Rodrigo Duterte, took the top spot with 533,550 votes. Immediately following Go is fellow PDP-Laban senatorial bet Dela Rosa who received 518,778 votes. Dela Rosa had also been police chief of the Davao City police. Currently, Go is placed third, while, Dela Rosa is at fifth with 8,549,086 and 8,025,527 votes, respectively, based on the certificates of canvass received by the NPOC as of 11:52 p.m. Wednesday. The others in the top 12 list in Davao City are Pia Cayetano (NP) who received 448,599 votes; Cynthia Villar (NP), 445,757; Francis Tolentino (PDP-Laban), 400,297; Edgardo Angara (LDP), 384,773; Imee Marcos (NP), 467,008; Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito, 322,773; Koko Pimentel (PDP-Laban), 297,452; Dong Mangudadatu (PDP-Laban), 297,338; Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. (Lakas), 239,899; and Jinggoy Estrada (PMP), 225,217. #MatalinongBoto2019
