Advincula to participate in meeting of cardinals in Vatican

Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula is set to participate in the consistory or the meeting of the cardinals in the Vatican City in Rome, Italy this month, according to church-run Radyo Veritas.

The consistory will be held on Aug. 27, the Veritas reported.

Based on the Vatican News, Pope Francis will "hold a consistory for the creation of new cardinals."

"Eight of the newly named Cardinals are from Europe, six from Asia, two from Africa, one from North America, and four from Central and Latin America," it noted.

Pope Francis is also set to meet all the cardinals "to reflect on the new Apostolic Constitution Praedicate evangelium," the Vatican News said.
