Pasay raises Code White as Habagat rains persist

The Pasay City Health Office has raised Code White effective Aug. 29, placing all health personnel on heightened alert as Habagat rains persist and pose risks to residents.

Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano has directed city health personnel to remain vigilant and ready to respond to any medical or public health emergency.

The alert will remain in effect until further notice.

Health center staff, along with the city’s water, sanitation and hygiene, and nutrition teams, were ordered to remain on call as authorities prepare for possible emergencies due to the ongoing rains.

The health office is also coordinating with other government agencies to ensure a quick and unified response should weather-related health emergencies arise.

Residents were urged to stay alert and follow government advisories as the Habagat continues to affect the city.
