Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano has ordered the city government’s emergency response units to remain on standby as Metro Manila faced a Red Rainfall Warning.
Rubiano directed the preparation of rescue vehicles and equipment for possible emergency deployment.
She also tasked the traffic and engineering departments with monitoring flooding, road conditions, and other hazards across the city.
The City Health Office, Pasay General Hospital (PasayGen), and health centers were likewise instructed to prepare for possible medical emergencies and ensure the availability of medicines.
Evacuation centers were also checked for adequate supplies of food and other basic necessities in case residents need to be moved to safer areas.
The mayor urged residents to remain vigilant and follow official safety advisories as the city continues to monitor the weather situation.
