Several attendees and netizens expressed their frustration on social media, with some describing the incident as disrespectful and unprofessional.

Some also called for the rapper to be declared persona non grata in Parañaque, while others questioned the lack of a personal appearance onstage to explain the cancellation and apologize to the audience.

Critics also raised concerns about the way the cancellation was handled, with some claiming that the decision appeared to prioritize the safety of equipment rather than the fans at the venue.

The rapper's management, GT Entertainment, later issued a public statement to clarify what happened.

According to them, Skusta Clee and his team arrived at the Parañaque venue and were prepared to proceed with the scheduled performance. However, heavy rain and strong winds caused floodwater to engulf the stage area, eventually reaching instruments and production equipment.

After assessing the condition of the venue, the management decided to cancel the performance, citing safety concerns involving Skusta Clee, the musicians, technicians, and the rest of the production crew.

GT Entertainment also apologized to those who waited for the performance despite the bad weather and acknowledged their frustration over the cancellation.

“We sincerely apologize to everyone who waited and braved the bad weather,” the management said.

They added that the decision was made with the safety of everyone involved in the event as priority.

Some fans suggested that clearer and earlier communication could have helped manage expectations and lessen the disappointment among attendees.

As of writing, there has been no announcement regarding a rescheduled performance.
