GMA Public Affairs took home two awards at the 2026 ContentAsia Awards, including a Gold for its documentary “Broken Roads, Broken Promises.”
The special won in the Best Factual Entertainment Programme Made in Asia for a Single Asia Market category at the awards ceremony held Aug. 27 in Bangkok, Thailand.
“Broken Roads, Broken Promises,” which features actor Dingdong Dantes, looks into the country’s flood-control problems and the communities affected by projects funded to protect them from flooding.
The program examines how money intended for flood-control projects can end up lost to corruption, while families continue to deal with flooded homes and communities.
GMA Public Affairs also won Bronze for “Corruption Series: A Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho Special Report” under the Best Current Affairs Programme Made in Asia for a Single Market in Asia category.
The special is part of “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho’s” coverage of alleged corruption and questionable government projects, focusing on public funds and their impact on ordinary Filipinos.
The two awards add to the Philippines’ showing at this year’s ContentAsia Awards, which recognized more than 180 programs across 35 categories.
