Janus Del Prado weighs in on Bea Alonzo-Shirley Kuan issue, suggests NDA for actors and managers
Actor Janus Del Prado has weighed in on the controversy involving Bea Alonzo and her former manager Shirley Kuan, saying the public should hear the actress’s side before making conclusions about their falling-out.
Janus shared his thoughts on Facebook as the issue continued to generate discussion following Shirley’s public revelation about the alleged reasons behind her decision to end her professional relationship with Bea.
“Before you judge Bea, let’s wait to hear her side of the story first. I’m not dismissing what her former manager claimed just yet, but that’s only one side of the story,” Janus wrote.
The actor also raised a bigger issue about the relationship between celebrities and their talent managers, suggesting that both sides should consider signing a non-disclosure agreement, or NDA.
For Janus, such an agreement could help protect sensitive information shared during a professional relationship—and provide legal protection if that relationship eventually falls apart.
“Actors should really consider having an NDA with their managers, and vice versa, to legally protect both parties’ confidential information and reputations. Para when the sh** hits the fan, everyone involved is legally protected,” he said.
Janus’ comments come after Shirley’s revelations about her split from Bea became a talking point online.
Shirley has also denied allegations that she interfered in Bea’s relationship with her husband, Vincent Co.
