Malabon distributes over 3,000 laptops to public school teachers

More than 3,000 laptops were distributed by the Malabon city government to public school teachers to support their work and school-related duties.

Mayor Jeannie Sandoval led the turnover ceremony at the Malabon Sports Complex on Thursday, Aug. 27, fulfilling her commitment to equip educators with essential tools to make their work more efficient and responsive to learners’ needs.
The laptops will help teachers prepare instructional materials, manage school tasks, access digital resources, and perform other responsibilities requiring technology.
Sandoval said the assistance would ease the workload of teachers and non-teaching personnel while improving the quality of services provided to students.
“This fulfills our promise to ensure that the work of our teachers and non-teaching personnel becomes easier and of better quality. You are the foundation of education and the good future of our students. Rest assured that the City Government will continue to support you,” Sandoval said.
Each qualified public school teacher also received a P4,500 second‑quarter allowance, giving added financial support in recognition of their dedication to Malabueño learners.
“The distribution of laptops and allowances is our way of recognizing the sacrifices and dedication of our teachers and non-teaching personnel. We want to ensure that they have enough support and equipment to properly perform their duties. When we support our teachers, our students and the entire community directly benefit,” City Administrator Alexander Rosete said.
The city government said the initiative strengthens its partnership with the education sector through programs and assistance that respond to the needs of educators and learners.
Also present during the turnover ceremony were Rep. Ricky Sandoval, Malabon Schools Division Superintendent Juan C. Obierna, CESO VI, officials of the Schools Division Office, and representatives of the Malabon Public Elementary and Secondary Teachers' Association Inc.
