Several Metro Manila cities suspend face-to-face classes on Aug. 28

Several Metro Manila cities suspended face-to-face classes on Friday, Aug. 28, due to intermittent rains brought by the southwest monsoon or habagat.

As of the latest announcements, the following cities have suspended classes:

Manila — All levels in public and private

Caloocan City — All levels in public and private

Malabon City — All levels in public and private

Quezon City — Child Development Centers, kindergarten, and Grades 1 to 12 in public and private

San Juan City — All levels in public and private

Marikina City — All levels in public and private

Valenzuela City — All levels in public and private

Parañaque City — All levels in public and private

Mandaluyong City — All levels in public and private

Las Piñas — All levels in public and private

Pasay City - All levels in public and private

BULACAN — All classes in both public and private

Malolos

Sta. Maria

Pandi

Paombong

Plaridel

Pulilan

Hagonoy

Calumpit

Classes in the affected cities will shift to Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) or other alternative learning modes.

Local government units advised students, parents, and school personnel to continue monitoring official announcements for further updates.
