Korean drama “The Remarried Empress,” starring Shin Min-a, Ju Ji-hoon, Lee Jong-suk and Lee Se-young, will debut on Nov. 4 on Disney+.
Shin Min-a, Ju Ji-hoon and Lee Se-young personally attended and unveiled “The Remarried Empress” during the Disney+ Originals Preview in Hong Kong in November last year.
Based on the hit Naver webtoon of the same name that has garnered nearly three billion views to date, “The Remarried Empress” is about the strained relationship between Empress Navier (Shin Min-a) and Emperor Sovieshu (Ju Ji-hoon).
The kingdom is shaken as a runaway slave, Rashta (Lee Se-young) emerges and captures the heart of Sovieshu, causing Navier to drift away.
Navier agrees to the emperor’s requests on one condition – that she be allowed to remarry his rival, Crown Prince Heinrey (Lee Jong-suk).
This sparks a tale of love, lust and regret that threatens the fate of an entire kingdom as Navier strives to reclaim her power.
