Veteran actress Amy Austria is not holding back any details sharing her experience using illegal drugs in the past.
In a recent interview, she recalled that it took her six years before she was able to quit the habit..
According to Amy, she had used every drug she could lay her hands on prior, getting hooked on shabu (methamphetamine), eventually.
No matter how hard she tried to keep it out of her system, Amy admitted that she just couldn't.
“Ang sakit na ng ulo mo sa kakatulog hanggang sa dumating sa point na almost one year in out, in out, in out. Sabi ko, ayoko na. Papaano to?
Six years yun. Six years yun na trinitry mong makipaglaban."
Just when Amy thought she was a hopeless case, another veteran actor and a good friend of hers, Christopher De Leon, invited her to a retreat.
That's when things took a turn for Amy.
This time sabi ko, ‘Lord, sa’yo na to. Hindi ko kaya," she said.
Amy is now completely drug-free.
