The Visayas and Mindanao real estate markets continue to gain ground, with Cebu, Davao, and Iloilo emerging as key growth areas, according to a recent Colliers report. Supported by infrastructure, tourism, business activity, and steady demand, the region is creating more opportunities for residential and hospitality developments. In Davao City, Torre Lorenzo Development Corporation (TLDC) is bringing these offerings to Tierra Davao through Crown Residences, its premium residential project, and Crest Suites, a hospitality investment opportunity.
The two projects recently marked their First Concrete Pouring, signaling the start of vertical construction. The ceremony brought together project stakeholders as Tierra Davao moves closer to realizing its vision of an integrated community that combines residential, hospitality, and lifestyle offerings in one destination.
The project is backed by a ₱1.6-billion construction contract with EEI Corporation, building on the companies’ previous collaboration for Torre Lorenzo Loyola East Tower in Quezon City. Located along Maryknoll Drive, Crown Residences and Crest Suites form part of Tierra Davao, an integrated-use community that also includes Dusit Thani Residence Davao, dusitD2 Hotel, and The Guest House.
Monica Lorenzo, director for Leisure and Business Development at TLDC, pointed to the city’s growing tourism and business activity as key drivers of demand. “Davao continues to experience strong momentum in tourism and business, driving sustained demand for quality residential and hospitality offerings. Crown Residences and Crest Suites are strategically positioned to meet these evolving needs while creating opportunities for residents, guests, and investors to build long-term value.”
Crown Residences will offer studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units, while Crest Suites will feature studio units across six layouts, from A to F. Both developments will include function rooms, a fitness center, a paw park, yoga and meditation spaces, and a children’s playground. Within the community, they are also near key destinations such as Francisco Bangoy International Airport, Port of Davao in Sasa, Ateneo de Davao University, and Abreeza Mall.
With its latest projects moving into vertical construction, Tierra Davao adds to the growing mix of residential and hospitality developments shaping the city’s property landscape. Crown Residences and Crest Suites also reflect the wider opportunities emerging across Visayas and Mindanao as more developers look beyond Metro Manila.
