Known for her exceptional work as actress in both TV and movies, Judy Ann Santos is among local entertainment's more respected acting talents.

But can you imagine her as talent manager?

Well, imagine no more. She is playing one in HBO Max's "Call My Manager."

The series is based on "Dix Pour Cent," a French comedy.

In an interview, Judy Ann shared with us her experience playing talent manager, describing it a whole lot of fun.

"Oh, it was fun. Yeah, it was fun because this is the first time for me to actually create a character that people could love but also hate at some point."

"It's a challenge because I really have to dig deep to be able to do that."

While Judy Ann's character is stern, straightfoward and seemingly no nonsense, RK Bagatsing's is different in that he is too caring, panicky. 

"As an actor used to doing something, it was kind of like exercising a different muscle. I'm used to being the villain and Gabriel was totally different from that. He cares deeply. He's always panicking. He's always not sure about what to do. But that's the fun part. You get to depict new feelings, new emotions," RK shared.

Then there's Edu Manzano who plays Matthew Buenaventura, the senior manager of their company.

According to the industry veteran, the series is an exciting glimpse into the world of entertainment and the colorful characters that inhabit it.

"Here we get to see how, sometimes, media and its desire to promote films, give the actors a certain color, just to make them look like they're larger than life."

"And if you actually look at the lives of the managers dealing with people like us, they lead more colorful lives."
