PCSO donates advanced ultrasound equipment; releases Lotto share to Bulacan

MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan – The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) recently donated a 2D Echocardiography Ultrasound with Doppler to the Emilio G. Perez Memorial District Hospital and released more than ₱1.8 million in lotto shares to the provincial government of Bulacan during a ceremony held at the Bulacan Provincial Capitol.
Leading the activity was PCSO General Manager Melquiades A. Robles, together with Directors Janet De Leon Mercado, Jennifer Liongson-Guevara, and Imelda Papin.
During the ceremony on August 3,2026, Robles and Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando signed a Deed of Donation formalizing the turnover of the advanced medical equipment, which is expected to strengthen the hospital’s diagnostic capabilities and improve patient care.
Dr. Gerardo Morales, chief of hospital and medical director of Emilio G. Perez Memorial District Hospital, expressed his appreciation to the PCSO, saying the equipment will greatly benefit Bulakeño patients in need of quality healthcare services.
The equipment donation was made under the PCSO’s Medical Equipment Donation Program (MEDP), which provides qualified hospitals with modern medical equipment to help improve healthcare services nationwide.
In addition, PCSO turned over ₱1,808,156.64, representing Bulacan’s share from lotto revenues for the period covering January to June 2026.
The release of lotto shares is in accordance with Executive Order No. 357-A, which allocates a portion of lotto revenues to local government units to support healthcare, social welfare, and other community-based programs.
