- Jerald Napoles and Kim Molina are not rushing to start a family months after their wedding, with both actors saying they are currently focused on their busy careers and upcoming projects.
Months after their much-talked-about wedding last March, Jerald Napoles and Kim Molina are not in a hurry to start a family.
The couple has talked about having children, but for now, both are focused on their careers, with a long list of projects keeping them busy.
Kim said she feels lucky to have a husband who understands that she wants to take her time.
“We have talked about it and I just feel very blessed that Jerald is very understanding. Parati niyang sinasabi na, ‘If I am ready, then, dun pa lang.’ And ako naman, kung ibi-bless kami ni Lord ng baby, why not? Pero, yun nga, we're not rushing.”
Kim sees next year as a possible time to revisit the idea.
“Siguro next year? Kasi ngayon ang dami pa pong nangyayari. We’re both so busy. Marami pa kasi kaming inaasikaso. Malalaman ninyo rin yan soon,” she said.
Jerald feels the same way.
“Bubuwelo lang kami kasi this year, madaming trabaho,” he said.
And there is certainly no shortage of work for the couple.
Jerald is currently promoting "Ang Pinakamasarap na Pares sa Balat ng Lupa" and is also part of Coco Martin’s "Sigabo."
Kim, meanwhile, is enjoying a career boost after being hailed as the "Dramedy Queen," following the strong reception to the films "Wonderful Nightmare" and "Un-Ex You" on Netflix.
Jerald said Kim was surprised by the attention but believes she deserves the recognition.
“Kasi I think it’s the performance also bukod sa materyal.”
The couple's success has also led to their first endorsement together as faces of Boteyju.
“We feel very blessed nga kasi we’re fans of Boteyju. We always make it a point to visit a branch talaga kasi we like their menu,” they said.
As for what comes next, Jerald said they are open to new opportunities.
“E kami naman, we’re ready for anything,” he said.
He then joked, “Ready ako sa lahat ng ibibigay ninyo, lalo na kung may pera, game ako diyan.”
But beyond the joke, Jerald said they remain careful about the projects they accept.
“Siyempre, in whatever we do, we make sure we like the project. Gagawin lang din namin kung naniniwala kami sa proyekto, be it an endorsement, a film or series.”
