Chest-deep floodwaters hit parts of Quezon City on Friday, Aug. 14, as persistent rains inundated several areas.

The Quezon City government reported the highest water level at 45 inches as of 11:54 a.m., with other areas recording waist-deep, knee-deep, half-knee-deep, and gutter-deep flooding.

In Barangay Del Monte, chest-deep floodwaters were recorded at 63 West Riverside and Florencia West.

Waist-deep flooding, or 37 inches, was reported in Barangay Dona Imelda, particularly in the inner areas of 29, 42, and 48 Kapiligan near the river.

Knee-deep flooding, or 19 inches, was recorded at Parkway Village Streets at Geraldine corner Christine in Barangay Apolonio Samson; West Riverside corner Atty. Pat Senador Sr. Street in Barangay Del Monte; and Don Pepe corner Calamba and Don Jose-NS Amoranto in Barangay Sto. Domingo (Matalahib).

Half-knee-deep flooding, or 10 inches, was reported along Gumamela Street in Barangay Roxas.

Gutter-deep floodwaters, or eight inches, were recorded at Sto. Domingo corner Calamba in Barangay Sto. Domingo (Matalahib); Blocks 1 to 6 in Barangay Damayang Lagi; NS Amoranto corner Don Jose Street and Don Jose Street corner Sct. Alcaraz Street in Barangay Sienna; and Riverside corner Pat Senador in Barangay San Antonio.

The city government continued its efforts to keep roads safe and passable and urged residents to remain cautious amid the prevailing weather conditions.
