Search continues for 13-year-old boy in Cagayan River

CAGAYAN — Search and retrieval operations continued Tuesday for a 13-year-old boy who was believed to have drowned in the Cagayan River in Enrile town here on Monday, August 10.
The victim was identified as Gian Agpalasi, a resident of Barangay San Roque, Enrile, according to the Task Force Lingkod Cagayan–Quick Response Team.
The search is being led by the Enrile Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), with personnel from the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Cagayan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), and TFLC-QRT joining the operation.
Report said responders continued checking portions of the river in an effort to locate the missing teenager.
The operation remains focused on retrieval while teams monitor river conditions and other possible hazards.
