Four persons were rescued in a landslide due to relentless heavy rainfall in a residential area in Barangay Guisad Surong, Baguio City on Sunday night, Aug. 9.
The landslide happened at 7 p.m. and affected three houses, the Philippine Red Cross said.
The PRC said the four individuals were rescued by the Baguio City DRRMO.
Fourteen individuals were reportedly affected by the landslide triggered by monsoon rain.
Mayor Benjamin Magalong here thanked rescuers currently working at Ground Zero.
"Salute to our rescuers who under heavy downpour defied the danger, risking their own lives in a desperate race against time to reach those buried beneath the deadly landslide here in Guisad Surong hoping that someone is still alive underneath waiting to be saved," said Magalong who is supervising the operation.
