Several areas in Valenzuela flooded, roads remain passable

Several areas in Valenzuela City were flooded on Saturday evening, Aug. 8, with floodwaters reaching up to eight inches in some locations, the Valenzuela City Command, Control and Communication Center (VCC3) said.

Despite the flooding, authorities said all monitored roads remained passable to all types of vehicles as of 8:40 p.m.
Along MacArthur Highway, eight-inch floodwaters were recorded in front of Jeepney Market in Karuhatan, 3S Dalandanan, Goodyear Dalandanan, and Toyota Dalandanan.
Meanwhile, floodwaters in front of Our Lady of Fatima Hospital reached three to four inches.
The East Service Road in Paso de Blas also recorded eight inches of floodwater but remained passable to all vehicles.
In other areas, eight-inch floodwaters were monitored at Pacheco Street in Barangay Malinta, Dalandanan Market, portions of G. Lazaro Street in Dalandanan, MacArthur Highway corner T. Santiago in Veinte Reales, and portions of T. Santiago Street.
Flooding ranging from one to six inches was also reported in portions of Marulas, Canumay West, Malinta, Karuhatan, Malanday, Lingunan, and other areas.
Authorities continued to advise motorists and residents to take note of road and flood conditions when traveling through affected areas.
