Empress Schuck's showbiz return takes another pause as actress announces pregnancy

Just months after returning to acting through the series "The Secrets of Hotel 88," Empress Schuck is set to take another break from show business after announcing that she is expecting her second child with husband Vino Guingona.

The actress shared the happy news on social media with a heartwarming family video featuring Vino and their daughter, Athalia.

"Chapter Four," Empress captioned the post, which showed the family enjoying a camping trip before revealing the baby's sonogram.

Friends and fellow celebrities, including Yasmien Kurdi, Sheena Halili, and Meg Imperial, among others, flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages following the announcement.

The pregnancy comes not long after Empress marked her long-awaited return to acting in "The Secrets of Hotel 88," ending a lengthy hiatus from regular television work.

While the comeback delighted fans who had been eager to see her on screen again, it also means any immediate follow-up projects are likely to be put on hold as she shifts her focus to her growing family.

The joyful announcement is especially meaningful considering the heartbreaking loss Empress revealed two years ago, when she suffered a miscarriage involving twin embryos.

"We would've been a family of four or even five. From two embryos, to one, then to none," she shared at the time, adding that her husband became her biggest source of strength throughout the ordeal.

"I'm still not sure how to talk about it. I just know that sometimes our plans for ourselves don't align with God's plans for us," she said.

Now, the couple has another reason to celebrate as they prepare to welcome a new member of their family.

Empress and Vino welcomed their first child, Athalia, in 2015 before tying the knot in 2021.
